On the rim of Shackleton Crater, humanity made contact with THE UNION: a coalition of 7 alien intelligences, with access to technology which seems godlike to the layperson. The Union, just as Humanity has, have been through hell; the both of them came out the other side, not unscarred, but ever resilient.
